East Basseterre Back to School Drive
Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 2, 2019 (ZIZ News): More than 500 children in East Basseterre received school supplies through the annual back to school drive in the area on Sunday, hosted by Parliamentary Representative Hon. Ian Liburd .
The drive which was held at the Team Unity Constituency Office in East Basseterre offered the children items including school bags, geometry sets, books, pencils, pens and erasers.
Minister Liburd said that the programme forms part of the giving back initiative that he started before taking office.
He said he was pleased to be able to assist the less fortune in his constituency in this way.
He said the event catered to children of all ages.
Minister Liburd also offered the services of a barber who was on site providing free haircuts for the school boys.
