Embassy of the Republic of China, Taiwan contributes to 50th Anniversary celebrations of ZIZ Radio

ZIZ News…February 14, 2011 – The 50th Anniversary celebration of ZIZ Radio received a timely boost when the Embassy of the Republic of China, Taiwan came forward with a monetary donation.

At a brief ceremony held at the Embassy on Thursday Ambassador Miguel Li-Jey Tsao congratulated ZIZ for achieving this significant milestone and for its support to the Embassy over the years in disseminating information.

Ambassador Tsao spoke of the work of the Republic of China, Taiwan in St. Kitts Nevis and their plans to further assist the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in many areas including agriculture.

In response Mr. Vere Galloway the Acting General Manager and Mr. Grel Browne, Marketing Manager of ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation thanked the Ambassador for coming forward in support of the 50th anniversary and pledged to work closely with the Embassy in informing the public about its many projects and programs carried out in St. Kitts and Nevis.

There was also an exchange of gifts by the Management ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation and the Embassy of the Republic of China, Taiwan.

ZIZ Radio will be fifty years old on March 5, 2011 and a series of events are being held to mark this significant milestone including a Family Fun Day on Saturday February 19, at the Silver Jubilee Stadium.
