Emergency Powers (COVID-19) (No.10) Regulations Extended For One Week

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 27, 2020 (ZIZ News): The Emergency Powers Act dated (27th June to 25th July, 2020) expired on Saturday and prompted the government’s decision to extend the regulations for another week.

The Regulations will now expire on Saturday 1st August, 2020 at 4:59 am.

Since March of 2020, the Regulations came into operation under SR&O No.27 of 2020 under the current State of Emergency and were instituted to help manage efficiently the COVID-19 pandemic in the Federation by employing an all of society approach.
