Entrepreneurs receive Equipment

(ZIZ News) — Five small businesses in St. Kitts and Nevis got a boost to help their business grow after receiving equipment through the Financial Information Month Business Equipment Mini-Grant.

During a presentation on ZIZ TV on Tuesday night, officials from the Eastern Caribbean Development Bank presented the equipment to representatives from Unique Charm Beauty Salon, Très Sans Age, Produce Delight: Conscious Farming, Ayzer Industry Development, and A’s and B’s Catering Service.

Advisor in the Corporate Relations Department at the ECCB, Sybil Welsh said small business owners sometimes need a little help to advance their companies.

“The Mini-Grant Funds for the Purchase of Equipment acknowledges that even with strong commitment from micro and small business owners they need stakeholders to invest in their drive and determination if they are to be successful. The right investment can be a significant catalyst for their business to advance,” she said.

She said successful businesses lead to successful communities.

“The relationship between a micro or small business and its community is one that contributes positively to the social and economic fabric of our society. The grant acknowledges the hard work that the successful applicants make in creating and developing successful businesses and by extension successful communities,” she said.

The Financial Information Month Business Equipment Mini-Grant is open to all micro and small businesses in the federation Of St. Kitts And Nevis.

The process starts with an application form that asks business owners to identify the challenges and triumphs encountered over the course of their operation and the equipment they lack but need to take their business to the next level.
