Essence of Hope Gala

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 28, 2019 (ZIZ News): On Saturday night the Essence of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation celebrated its tenth anniversary with a gala dinner at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

The event was held under the theme “A Decade of Helping to Save Lives” and began with a photo op session outside the Royal Ballroom where guests showed their support for the foundation’s efforts.

As the function got underway President of the Essence of Hope Foundation, Pam Hendrickson noted that one of the main reason for the event was to recognize persons have contributed to the foundation over the years.

Among them was Parliamentary Representative for Central Basseterre, the Hon Marcella Liburd.

Miss Hendrickson spoke about how the foundation came about as a way to turn pain into hope.

The keynote address was delivered by media personality Basia Powell.

The night also featured entertainment by “Queen of Soca” Alison Hinds.

Launched in July 2009, Essence of Hope is a non-profit organisation geared towards ensuring women and men never have to suffer at the fate of cancer.
