Evangelical Association convened General Conference and elects Executive

ZIZ News…Nov 22, 2011 – The General Conference of the St Kitts Evangelical Association was convened on Monday 22nd November, 2011, at the New Covenant Tabernacle. The conference, moderated by Bishop Ron Dublin-Collins, received reports of the work of the Association over the period in review and adopted new Articles of Association to manage the affairs of the Evangelical organization.

The meeting was preceded by a devotional session led by Pastor Ericson Cumberbatch of the Weslyan Holiness Church. Rev Dr Eustace Rawlins presented a report on CONECAR 2011, Rev Leroy Matthew presented the Financial Report and the President’s report was presented by Bishop Dublin-Collins.

The conference also selected a Local Organising Committee to coordinate the Association’s hosting of the Congress of Evangelical in the Caribbean (CONECAR) to be in held in October of 2013.

The Conference elected an Executive to manage the affairs of the Evangelical Association over the next three years. The new Executive elected is as follows:

President: Bishop Ron Dublin-Collins
1st Vice President: Rev Dr Eustace Rawlins
2nd Vice President: Pastor Kenneth Francis
Secretary: Pastor Ericson Cumberbatch
Treasurer: Pastor Leroy Matthew
Assistant Secretary-Treasurer: Pastor Sylvester Herbert
Public Relations Officer: Pastor Steve Huggins

The conference has pledged its continued commitment to serve in a constructive role of providing evangelical cohesion in St Kitts and giving our evangelical churches a national identity, voice, and platform to extend the Kingdom of God through Christ-centered proclamation of the Gospel to all peoples, discipling the nation, and the transformation of society by the empowerment by the Holy Spirit.
