Exciting transformation in St. Kitts tourism product

Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — St. Kitts and Nevis’ Minister of Tourism and International Trade, Sen. the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt said the just concluded promotional tour of the United Kingdom is a continuation of efforts to compete in the global marketplace.

This Minister Skerritt said “is crucial to building partnerships and to better understanding the consumers we want to attract.”

He said the inclusion of Scotland as a new market was a fantastic opportunity for stakeholders in the delegation and thanked Barrhead Travel for offering their hospitality to the Federation.

“As a destination, St. Kitts is going through an exciting transformation in our product development and we are confident that this UK market visit has helped to strengthen our partnerships, which are vital to future growth. St. Kitts and Nevis offer something very special to the consumer who is seeking an authentic island experience complemented by a desire for luxury,” said Minister Skerritt

“Know the UK, Grow the UK,” is in its second year as part of a collaborative marketing initiative in partnership with destination product representatives from both St. Kitts and Nevis.

The delegation to the UK included some 20 destination product representatives, including hoteliers, wedding planners and tour companies along with tourism officials from both islands.
