Exposition Nevis 2019

(ZIZ News) Premier of Nevis Hon. Mark Brantley officially declared Exposition Nevis 2019 open with an address to the nation on Monday.

Premier Brantley, who is also Minister of Tourism explained that Exposition Nevis is the island’s annual month of tourism awareness activities, which will run from April 14th until May 25th.

He said as the Caribbean Tourism Organization has designated 2019 as the Year Of Festivals in the Caribbean, the Ministry Of Tourism has chosen to align itself with this focus as festivals are a critical component of the tourism product.

Premier Brantley said it is also important to recognize the role of festivals in stimulating tourism activity during the slow season.

He went on to commend the Ministry of Tourism, public and private partners for their role in the planning and success of the country’s festivals.

Activities for Exposition Nevis 2019 are will be held under the theme “Celebrating Nevis’ Tourism through Festivals.”
