Fatisha Imo to represent SKN at Miss Jamzone International Pageant

(Basseterre, St.Kitts, August 10, 2011) Miss World St. Kitts Nevis 2010, Fatisha Imo will be representing the Federation in the 2011 Miss Jamzone International Pageant that will be held in Guyana on the 17th and 21st of August. She will be competing against 9 countries including: Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Brazil, Venezuela, Antigua, Dominica, St. Lucia, Barbados, Suriname and Jamaica. Segments for the pageant are as follows: Cultural Presentation, Swimsuit, Personality Segment, Costume, Evening Gown, Fantasy Swimwear and Interview.

Fatisha did a magnificent job in the Miss World pageant that was held in Sanya, China of October 2010, where she placed in the Top 20 Finals in the Miss World Talent Segment and won the gold medal for the Miss World Sports and Fitness Segment. Fatisha will once again make our Federation proud by displaying our culture and her talent.

In speaking with her she said, “Life is what you make it. I am excited to visit Guyana and compete in this pageant. I will continue to represent and market our country and take advantage of every opportunity that is granted. This year alone, I have received many invitations to participate to represent the Federation; however, I will not be able to take part in some and will be passing on the information to chaperones, past queens and potential contestants who would be interested. I will like to take this opportunity to thank my mother Lynette Williams, father- Joh Imo, sister -Zinga Imo, brothers -Fadil and Johsiah Imo, chaperone- Haley Cassius, Samantha Boone, Lynelle Hodge, Windsor University, Island Bakery, Bullseye Car Rental, Island Auto Supply, Plush Accessories, Collin Richards, Denis Richards, Island Glass, Judith Rawlins, Wendy Grant, Banka Mas Camp, Ozelle Martin and my Zumba away Members. I will also like to thank my supporters who have given me unwavering support throughout my pageant journey. Thank you all. I will also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Iantavian Queeley for walking away with the Miss Carival and Miss Jaycees title”.

Fatisha stated that, “You don’t get to the top by being like everyone else”. She says this motto keeps her motivated to stay confident despite what anyone might think. She also stated that many people will try to make your journey an OBSTACLE; turn the negative energy into positivity and you will be successful, no matter how hard they try.” Her love for pageantry has been witnessed and appreciated by the families, friends and persons she has chaperoned including the 2008-09 National Carnival Queen, Samantha Boone and the 2008-09UDC Talented Teen, Zinga Imo.

Performances will be made by Trey Songz, Eve, Movado and Vybz Kartel on the Jamzone Regional Festival night, where each contestant has to present herself to an audience over 1500 people.
