Federation’s athletes at CARIFTA Games complimented

Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) – The Federation’s athletes at the CARIFTA Games in Martinique has been complimented for their performance to date.

Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas  during his weekly radio programme “Ask the Prime Minister” on Tuesday, congratulated Ms. Kristal Liburd, Mr. Tahir Jefferson, and Mr. Adrien Williams, for winning bronze and silver medals.

“Warmest congratulations to them all.  May their success excite and inspire other young people who, like our young athletes, are striving to master their own areas of endeavor – whether that be the arts, the trades, the sciences, struggling to turn a fledgling business into a successful enterprise, or simply attempting – against great odds – to overcome some private challenge. Nothing succeeds like faith and hard work, and I hope that our young people will always remember this,” said the St. Kitts and Nevis leader.
