Fifteen nationals of Haiti in police custody following illegal entry into St. Kitts

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 21, 2019 (ZIZ News): The police have confirmed that fifteen (15) nationals of Haiti are currently in custody.

According to reports, the Haitians were taken in on Sunday, October 20 sometime after 6 p.m.

ZIZ understands that the migrants arrived on the island via an unidentified vessel near Bird Rock beach.

The Police responded to reports of the incident and were able to detain the individuals.

Investigations are ongoing and we’ll have more information as it becomes available.
