Fire At Masses House

ZIZ News…July 15 2013 –The police are investigating a fire at Masses House on Church Street early this morning.

According to reports, The Fire Department arrived on the scene at about 4:15 am and saw flames coming from the north side of the building, where a window was on fire.

The officers pulled out the window and put out the fire.

Deputy Fire Chief Everette O’garro told ZIZ there was only minor damage to the window and the frame.

He says they suspect it was deliberately set because they smelt an accelerant or some sort of fuel for the fire.

He says apparently someone poured the accelerant on the window and one of the doors.

The incident is being investigated as arson.
