Fire Chief says use extreme caution during dry season commonly known as fire season

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 17, 2019 (ZIZ News): Fire Chief Everette Ogarro is advising everyone to use extreme caution during the dry season which is commonly referred to as the fire season.

He said during the dry season it is extremely important to pay close attention to potential ignition sources can lead to tragic fires.

He was at the time speaking with ZIZ at the annual St. Kitts and Nevis Fire Services Open Day in Basseterre on Wednesday.

Mr. O’garro also warned persons who burn trash without expert assessment from the Fire Services.

He reminded the public that following all safety precautions would help to safeguard our people and prevent the dangers of fires or explosions.
