Firearm Discovered During Joint Operation in Shadwell

The police have taken another illegal firearm off the streets of our communities following a series of recent searches.

According to a police release during a joint operation in Shadwell a 22-calibre pistol and several rounds of matching ammunition were found in a structure between two premises.

This is the 23rd firearm to be taken into police custody for the year.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
