Four More National Team Players on Try-out in USA

ZIZ Sports…March 6, 2010 – Tyrrell Soccer Academy in Pennsylvania continues to a play pivotal role in assisting footballers in St. Kitts and Nevis secure invitations to Try-out for professional clubs.

On Wednesday 3rd March, 2010 Malaivi Harris, Rovan Wigley, Julani Archibald and Tishan Hanley departed the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport to attend Try-out sessions for professional soccer with Harrisburg City Islanders soccer club in the United States. The Try-out sessions are scheduled to take place over the period March 4th to 5th 2010.

This is the second batch of footballers to secure invitations for Try-out for professional soccer compliments Tyrrell Soccer Academy so far in 2010. Mr. Craig “Marlon” Tyrrell, Director of Tyrrell Soccer Academy is a former professional soccer player and St. Kitts/Nevis National Team Coach. In February, Tyrrell Soccer Academy secured invitations for Devaughn Elliott, Kevin Benjamin, Shashi Isaac and Alistair Warner to travel to New York to participate in the Rochester Rhinos invitation-only Try-out session.

In 2009, Mr. Tyrrell was instrumental in securing a scholarship for young Javeim Blanchette of SL Horsford’s St. Pauls FC to attend Elizabeth Town College in Pennsylvania.

The 2010 Try-outs period has been quite active for footballers in St. Kitts and Nevis. Recently, professional player and St. Kitts and Nevis football icon Keith “Kayamba” Gumbs were able to secure invitations for six (6) players to attend Try-out sessions with the Miami FC in the USL.
