Fun and Games at ZIZ Family Fun Day

February 19, 2011, Basseterre, St.Kitts. ZIZ NEWSROOM – Hundreds of persons came out to the Silver Jubilee Stadium on Saturday afternoon to celebrate with ZIZ at the 50th anniversary family fun day.
Several competitions were held which involved ZIZ staff, primary school children, members of the public, and government ministers.
The highlights of the day included a football match between ZIZ staff and government ministers. The ministers’ team won that game 3 – 1. But ZIZ fought back when DJ Kupid won the 60 meter dash beating out his fellow co-workers and The Hon Shawn Richards.
Another anticipated competition was the relay race between personalities from “The People’s Show” and “Action Sports”. Scotty Hanley and Theo Clarke brought home the gold for “Action Sports” leaving Sister Sensia and Jason “Pinocchio” Mitchum in their dust.
The day also included several races and football games for primary school children and wrapped up with a performance by “The People’s Show” host “Pinocchio”.
The family fun day is one of several events to mark ZIZ’s 50th anniversary. Upcoming events include a calypso competition, an awards dinner, and a song competition.
