Gilbert to open Constituency Office in Tabernacle

(ZIZ News)– The St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party candidate for Constituency Number Seven, Dr. Vance Gilbert will open a new office in Tabernacle on Friday evening.

Dr. Gilbert was a guest on Talking Points on Wednesday morning and updated listeners on how plans for the opening were progressing.

“Plans for the constituency office opening are going very well. She’s actually the second constituency office that I’m going to be opening. And it’s going to be in Tabernacle, right there on the top portion of the village. Right upstairs Zouk’s shop that is in Tabernacle. That is where the constituency office is going to be. It’s going to be opening on Friday at 7:30 with a rally of sorts. We’re also going to be featuring two artists: a local act and a regional or international act,” he said.

He said opening an office in his home village was an important step in ensuring all constituents have a fixed space where they can meet with him.

“So we are certainly looking forward to stepping it up right there in Tabernacle. Providing an office space, an environment where persons can come and interact with the candidate and lay their cards on the table for any kind of assistance that they could be looking for. We want to have a permanent place in Tabernacle. You know Tabernacle is my hometown and so, you know, it’s always good to be able to serve the people of my village of Tabernacle,” he said.

Entertainment will be provided following the opening by the Small Axe Band and regional soca sensation, Mr. Killa who is best known for the song “Rolly-Polly”.

Dr. Gilbert will be joined in Tabernacle on Friday night by his fellow Labour Party candidates. The leader of the St. Kitts And Nevis Labour Party, Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas is also expected to make a feature appearance at the event.
