Grand Finals set for this weekend in Dynamics Sports Club League
(Sports Page) The grand finals is set for this coming weekend in the Dynamics Sports Club league which has featured teams from the Gingerland area, in Basketball and Netball matches.
The two top teams in the respective sporting areas have been determined for the grand finals slated for Saturday 26th October at the Old Manor hard court.
After all of the preliminary games, the two top teams in Basketball are MAYNARD GROUND GINGERLAND SOLDIERS and HICKMAN’S and in Netball, the two top teams that have made it to the finals are RAWLIN’S NATURE GIRLS and CLAY GHAUT (combined) PURPLE GLADIATORS.
Here is a summary of the final set of preliminary matches played in the league:
In Basketball
On Tuesday 15th October Hickman’s played against Clay Ghaut Lightening. Scores at the end of the,first period 4 -7 in favor of Clay Ghaut Lightening. However at the end of the second period the score was 13 – 12 in favour of Hickman’s. Hickman’s won over the Clay Ghaut Lightening.
This moved Hickman’s and Rawlins Ball All Day into second position: and the two teams engaged in a play off on Thursday 17th October.
Score at the end of the game was 16 – 19 in favor of Hickman’s.
Saturday 26th October will see the two top teams in the finals, Maynard Ground Gingerland Soldiers and Hickman’s
In Netball
On Saturday 19th October Clay Ghaut (Combined) Purple Gladiators vs. Zion Pink Panthers

1st Quarter: 7-4 in favor of Clay Ghaut (Combined) Purple Gladiators
2nd Quarter: 16-6 to Clay Ghaut (Combined) Purple Gladiators
3rd Quarter:25-11 to Clay Ghaut (Combined) Purple Gladiators

On Sunday 20th Rawlins Nature Girls played against Hanley’s Road HR Rebels
Scores:
1st Quarter: 7-3 in favor of Rawlins Nature Girls
2nd Quarter: 13-6 in favor of Rawlins Nature Girls
3rd Quarter: 17-13 in favor of Rawlins Nature Girls
4th Quarter: 20-14 in favor of Rawlins Nature Girls
Winning team: Rawlins Nature Girls
Saturday 26th October will see the two top teams in the finals, Rawlins Nature Girls and Clay Ghaut (Combined) Purple Gladiators.
Also, on Saturday 26th after the games, there will be a closing ceremony as well. An invitation is extended to the general public to come on out.
