Gratuity plans progressing
ZIZ News…May 8th, 2013 — The Government is in final negations to implement gratuity payments for non-governmental workers.
Gratuity is one of several retirement benefits offered by an employer when an employee leaves his/ her job.
Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas says putting this in place for all non-civil servants is part of his government’s commitment to improve the lives of the people.
Currently a person would need to be working for ten years in order to be eligible for gratuity.
