Greater inclusion of local entrepreneurs in the production of the SKMF
Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 5, 2019 (ZIZ News): As the St. Kitts Music Festival Committee works to continuously update the public on the upcoming event later this month, a press conference was held at the Ministry of Tourism’s conference room on Monday.
Present at the head table were Minister of Tourism Hon. Lindsay Grant, Chairman of the St. Kitts music festival Damion Hobson, Chairman of Productions, Ambassador Jonel Powell, Executive Director of the Festival’s Secretariat Allistair Williams and Head Of Marketing Val Henry.
Among the updates given was the announcement of a greater inclusion of local entrepreneurs in the production of the festival.
Head of marketing for the St. Kitts Music Festival Val Henry said one of the objectives of the festival is to not only give exposure to artistes, but opportunities for local businesses.
Chairman of Productions Ambassador Jonel Powell announced that most of the hosts selected for the three day festival are locals.
Ambassador Powell said the final announcement of the festival’s hosts will be made at an upcoming press conference.
The 23rd annual St. Kitts Music Festival will take place from June 27th to 29th. Tickets are available online and at local outlets Horsford’s Value Mart, Gold Standard Clothing, The Cell, Harpers, Flow and at the Ministry Of Tourism.
