Meantime, 21-year-old Shakeem Mitchum-Cranston is in stable condition at the JNF General Hospital after receiving several gunshot wounds on Tuesday night.

According to police reports, Mitchum-Cranston, formerly of College Street, was shot in Phillip’s Village some time after 7pm.

A recently issued press release from the Force’s Director of Public Information Grell Browne states that based on initial reports, “Mitchum-Cranston was using a standpipe when he was approached by three armed persons dressed in dark clothing.” The gunmen reportedly discharged the firearms, hitting the victim several times.

He was transported to the hospital by the ambulance.

ZIZ News understands that Mitchum-Cranston is a relative of Istan Mitchum who was killed almost one year ago at West Borne Street.

Mitchum-Cranston lived on Nevis for several years, just a few houses away from where Philo Wallace resided up to the time of his death last Saturday.
