Hamilton Thanks Sanitation Workers

(ZIZ News) — Minister of Health, the Hon. Eugene Hamilton has praised the sanitation workers of St. Kitts and Nevis for their role in preserving the health of the Federation.

He spoke at a service, on Sunday morning at the Apostolic Faith Mission, which marked Sanitation Workers Appreciation Day.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Health and on behalf of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, I want to thank all of you who work so hard and trust that you continue to enjoy working at Solid Waste, working at Parks and Beaches, working at Environmental Health because your task is as important as the task of the Prime Minister. There is nobody who can say that the head is better than the hand,” he said.

During the service, Daniel Henry was named a special honouree for his contribution to sanitation in the Federation.

The Parks and Beaches Unit, Solid Waste Management Corporations in St. Kitts and Nevis, and the Environmental Health Department also honoured workers in various categories relating to their duties.

The Sanitation Workers Appreciation Day Service was held under the theme “There Is No Substitute For Sanitation”.
