Health Ministry launches new website

Kingston, Jamaica — The Ministry of Health has launched its new website and its social media platforms in a bid to provide information and facilitate feedback from the public.

The launch took place last Wednesday at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in Kingston.

A release from the Health Ministry says the website provides information on all areas of the Ministry of Health, including, policies, projects and programmes. Other features include links to various departments and agencies of the ministry, the Regional Health Authorities, an interactive map which provides locations of health facilities across the island, public education and communication resources, as well as printable forms and other documents. The new website, which was designed and developed by the Jamaica Information Service, became accessible to the public on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015.

In addition to the website, for about a year, the Ministry has been using social media – Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram – as part of its strategy to enhance communication with various audiences through the use of new media.

The website can be accessed at moh.gov.jm.
