Hon Shawn Richards is new PAM Leader

ZIZ News…Sept 24, 2012 — The Hon. Shawn Richards is the new leader of the Peoples Action Movement.

This comes after a tight vote at the Party’s caucus on Sunday September 23, 2012.

According to reports, Richards and Hamilton tied with 66 votes each and it was left to the Pam Chairman to break the tie and he chose the Hon. Shawn Richards.

The results of the election will be ratified at next week’s special convention.

The Hon. Shawn Richards who is into his second term as a parliamentarian is the youngest person to lead the Peoples Action Movement as its Chairman following HE Dr William Herbert, Rt Hon Dr Sir Kennedy Simmonds, and Attorney Lindsay FP Grant who last held the post of Chairman.
