ICWI sponsors Essence Of Hope’s ‘Walk For The Cure, Race For Life’

(ZIZ NEWS) — Insurance Company Of The West Indies ICWI has once again partnered with the Essence Of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation in sponsoring the Walk For The Cure, Race For Life” fundraising event.

At a brief handing over ceremony branch manager of ICWI Marsha Clayton presented a cheque for $12,500 to the president of the foundation Pamela Armstrong.

Clayton said ICWI acknowledges the importance of the work of the Essence of Hope Foundation and is pleased to partner with them again this year.

“The fight against cancer is one that requires the support of all nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis. Cancer as we know does not discriminate. It attacks all groups. This is why the work of Essence Of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is so important and this is precisely why the Insurance Company Of The West Indies ICWI is committed to supporting the activities of the foundation as it delivers assistance to women who have fallen victim of the horrific disease,” she said.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Pamela Armstrong thanked ICWI for its continued support of the foundation.

She said “I want to say thank you to ICWI once again for coming on board and being the title sponsor this year for the Walk for the Cure Race for Life walk-a-thon. Thank you so much and we look forward. Thank you so much and we look forward to having you on board in the years to come.”

The Essence of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation’s Walk for the Cure, Race for Life event which attracts thousands of participants, will take place on Saturday October 22nd.
