International Museums Day to be celebrated Friday 18 May 2012

ZIZ News…May 17 2012 — The Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society is pleased to announce that on Friday 18th May, in commemoration of International Museum’s Day, nationals of St. Kitts-Nevis will be admitted free from 2 pm to the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park.

According to a release, the public is invited to spend a beautiful Friday afternoon exploring the World Heritage Site and marvel at the dramatic fortifications created by man atop one of the most spectacular landscapes carved by the hand of God.

On International Museum Day persons can visit for free, the Fort George Museum, one of the finest military museums in the Caribbean and find out how one of the smallest islands on the planet influenced world history. Come and celebrate International Museums Day at Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park and bask in the rich heritage.
