Investigation into Rakeem Hanley’s Murder moving forward

Basseterre, St. Kitts (RSCNPF) — The ongoing investigation in to the murder of Rakeem Hanley is moving forward. On Saturday (August 29th) two suspects were taken in police custody.

Rakeem Hanley was shot on the evening of Tuesday (August 25th) in the McKnight area and died the following morning as a result of his injuries.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Criminal Investigations, Ian Queeley, “the two suspects taken into custody were picked up based on credible information and they are assisting with the investigation.”

ACP Queeley said, “The fight against crime will take community involvement and the Police Force would like to thank those who provided information with regards to this investigation so far.”

The ACP stressed, “if you have seen something, if you have heard something as it relates to this or any violent crime, or any criminal activity, tell someone. Call the Violent Crimes Unit at the Basseterre or Charlestown Police Station or any police station with your information.”
