Sports Page — The SDA Jets team rebounded over the weekend, as they got the better of Highlights in an encounter on Sunday 15th March.
Highlights batted first and were restricted to 104 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Theron Bussue top scored with 23; Wendell Wallace 17; Xavier Cornelius 14 and Adrian Williams 10.
Curtis Morton Sr got 2 wickets; Oneil Walters 2 and Charles Morton 2.
When the Jets batted, they seemed set to be crashing to another low score when they were 15 for 4 compliments a fine spell of swing bowling by Adrian Williams.
However, Charles Morton and stand in captain, Venrick Newton got together in an outstanding partnership which not only brought the Jets back into the game but set them on course for victory.
Jets eventually got to 111 for 5 in the final over. Charles Morton top scored with 49 and Venrick Newton got 19 not out.
Adrian Williams got 4 wickets and Nigel Browne 1.
SDA Jets won by 5 wickets.
