JLP Ready to Rumble

ZIZ Sports…Nov. 2, 2011 – “The JLP team will be ready for action come Friday”. So says a confident Coach for the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School, Kurvin Wallace.

Wallace spoke as he marshaled his troops on Tuesday afternoon at the Hardtimes Playing Field. The JLP team was working overtime in preparation for Friday’s start to the annual Giant Malt sponsored Primary School Football League.

Wallace noted that there were new additions to the team with one or two of them being new to the game but have demonstrated a keen interest in learning the necessary skills. Additionally there are some experienced players from last year’s team and he expects his team to perform well.

He also noted that his A and B teams recently had practice matches versus their counterparts from the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School which were very competitive, although disrupted by rain.

Also present at the grounds was a very supportive contingent of girls who Wallace indicated would serve as the basis for a strong cheerleading team this time around.
