Kerisha takes salute at IWPS Sports Meet

Sports Page — Talented Nevisian all round female athlete, Kerisha Powell, proudly stood and took the salute for the march past for the annual sports meet of her alma mater, the Ivor Walters Primary School.

This was held at the Wilkerson Road Recreation grounds in Brown Hill, on Friday 7th March.

The show of support by the general public was impressive, especially at the end of the work day.

The athletes competed in the 100, 200, 400, 800; 1200 and 60 meters and also the 4X100 and 4X400 relay races.

There was the added attraction of the hurdles race and the fun races for the younger children which included the fill the bucket race and the obstacle race.

The final results at the end of the day were:
Green House – Champions
Gold House – Second
Red House – Third
