Kittitian awarded Badge of Honour on Jamaica’s Independence day

Mrs. Rodina Reid nee Herbert of St. Kitts

ZIZ News…Oct 26 2011 – On the occasion of Jamaica’s 49th year of Independence, Mrs. Rodina Reid nee Herbert of St. Kitts was awarded the Badge of Honour for Meritorious Service BH(M) for Education Administration.

Mrs. Reid was invested with the insignia of the order at a ceremony of Investiture by Sir Patrick Allen, the Governor General of Jamaica.

The Ceremony took place on National Heroes Day, Monday 17th October 2011 at King’s House, Jamaica.

Mrs. Reid is a Senior Assistant Registrar at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies and has served as a Justice of the Peace and member of the Lay Magistrate’s Association for over 20 years.

Attending the Ceremony was her husband barrister Gregory Carl Reid and her three sons Gregory Omari and his wife Audia, Carl Ajani and William Khari.

ZIZ joins her family, friends and many former students from St. Kitts and Nevis of Mona Campus in extending sincere congratulations to Mrs. Reid on this well deserved honour and wish her continued success in the future.
