Kittitian is only Caribbean applicant selected to attend Young Diplomats Forum in UK

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 3, 2019 (ZIZ News):

St. Kitts and Nevis Foreign Service Officer and Chevening scholar, Sonia Boddie-Thompson has been selected as the only Caribbean applicant to attend the prestigious Young Diplomats Forum taking place in London this week.

Boddie-Thompson was selected as the only Caribbean native to participate in the event out of 700 applicants from around the globe.

Mrs. Boddie-Thompson who is also the Clerk of the National Assembly was given the opportunity to visit and tour the Facebook Europe Headquarters as part of her first day of activities.

Sonia joined 74 other delegates digging into sessions on Diplomacy in the 21st century and the semantics of Digital Diplomacy.

Boddie Thompson received congratulatory messages from several officials including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation, the Hon. Mark Brantley and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, the Hon. Senator Akilah Byron-Nisbett on Twitter.
