Konris Presents Scholarships to Students

(ZIZ)– Labour Party candidate for Constituency #3, Konris Maynard has already started to make a difference in his area.

In a short ceremony held on Friday at the Verchilds High School, Renisha Wilkinson who attended the Bronte Welsh Primary school received a five hundred dollar ($500) scholarship.

Maynard said he is hoping this scholarship motivates Wilkinson and other students as they continue their academic growth.

He added, “This should be used as an encouragement to everyone to participate in all aspects of your school life…whether it’s drama; whether its sports or whether it’s arts.”

Wilkinson is the first of two to receive the award. The criterion for the scholarship includes participating in extracurricular activities, good behaviour in school, academic excellence and the need for financial aid.

Trelecia Walters of the Basseterre High School, who attended the Dr. William Connor Primary School, will receive the second award on Monday.
