Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 1, 2012 — The LIME Kittitian Superstar Juniors Competition kicked off last night with the first 3 singers in the age 6-9 category.

First to perform was Goldanne Welcome who sang ‘Oh Happy Day’ followed by Ishaunte Adams who performed Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ and lastly Lashayna Hensley who re-entered the competition singing Etana’s ‘I Am Not Afraid’.

The panel of judges, Karina Phillips, Jason Davis and Rolhensha Henry encouraged the participants to focus on song choice and performance going forward.

The organizers of KSS JRS decided to remember the late Masud Sadiki for his influence on the show since its inception by playing one of his last on stage performances.

Also creator and host St. Clair Chico Guishard reaffirmed his commitment to discovering young talent by featuring upcoming singer Asha-D Duncan who performed Rihanna’s ‘We All Want Love’.

The next sing-off takes place on Thursday 9th August. The first five singers in the 10-12 age group will perform live on television before a studio audience and a panel of judges on the journey to become the LIME Kittitian Superstar Junior 2012.
