Launch of Courts Optical

(ZIZ News) — Unicomer St. Kitts, also referred to as Courts, added to the services offered to the public with the launch of “Courts Optical” on Thursday.

“Value You Can See” is the tagline behind courts optical that offers eyewear and eye care to its customers.

Located inside the Courts furniture and appliances home store, Courts Optical features an in-house fully qualified registered optometrist Dr. Onyelucheya and is supported by a dispenser and sales team.

OECS Director of Sales Jonathan Johannes spoke of Courts’ history in the eyewear and eye care industry.

He said, “Although optical is relatively new for us in the Caribbean, it actually forms an integral part of our group. For the past 15 years we have been growing our optical business in the Caribbean and Latin America. We are now in 16 countries and we continue to expand. I am proud to add St. Kitts and Nevis to our portfolio and we look forward to bringing you our customers –new and existing—value you can see.”

Minister of Industry and Commerce, Hon. Lindsay Grant commended Courts for the expansion and mentioned some of the advantages to be gained.

“I first want to commend courts for this expansion that brings a new wave of cutting edge technology in the optometry field to St. Kitts and Nevis. The anticipated spill over effects from the establishment of courts optical are immeasurable and include but are not limited to employment generation, increased market competition which translates into improved socio and economic advances and more options obviously for the consumers,” he said.

Courts Optical offers both prescription glasses and sunglasses from high end brands including Michael Kors, Vera Wang, Ray Ban, Polo, Ralph Lauren and the Courts’ brand Toscana.

Also offered are complimentary eye examinations using state of the art equipment.

It was also revealed that Courts Optical offers a 24 months credit option where customers can receive their glasses while paying for them monthly.
