Launch of the Basseterre Animal Care Centre

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 29, 2019 (ZIZ News): Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine has partnered with animal-care community groups to open the Basseterre Animal Rescue Cente

r- the first animal rescue center on the federation.

According to a statement, the center will support dogs and cats by providing the best healthcare and rehabilitation services, surgical sterilizations and pet care awareness programs.

The first building includes an examination room, reception area and pavilion that will be used to host community programs.

A second building, opening later this year, will house kennels and an additional examination room.

A ribbon cutting and opening ceremony is slated for Tuesday at the site location at Lime Kiln.

Among those making remarks at the ceremony will be Minister of Agriculture Honourable Eugene Hamilton, Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Shawn Richards, and Dean of RUSVM, Dr. Sean Callanan.
