Sports Page — The Leeward Islands under 19 team beat their Windward Islands counterparts by one wicket in a thrilling encounter on Monday 27th July.
Batting first, the Windwards team managed to score 141 all out in 39.3 overs.
When the Leewards team batted, they continued to struggle at the top with out of form star batsman, Ross Powell quacking a golden duck. However, the Williams’ combination of Tyrone and Saeed both made decent scores, which eventually helped their team to just tow over the line in the 50th over, with just three balls remaining. They totaled 142 for 9.
