The immediate past president, Gregory Shillingford, did not contest for the post he previously held.  Meanwhile, the Board thanked Mr. Shillingford for his contributions to Leeward Islands’ cricket over the years and wished him well in his future endeavors.

The newly elected President thanked the members for their overwhelming support. He also paid homage to his predecessor.  Mr. Hector said that his Board will not be a “one man Board” but rather “one that seeks to involve all”.  Mr. Hector stressed the need to plan well in advance for the various tournaments that LICA has to either undertake or provide teams.

While acknowledging that the job ahead will be tough, Mr. Hector also lamented the urgent need to attract sponsorship in order to allow LICA to have the ability to put on the various programs. Mr. Hector also stressed the need for member territories to strengthen their administrative capacities.’
