Live!Love!Dance captures the hearts of all

(Basseterre, St. Kitts- March 18th, 2013) The members of The Children Dance Theatre (CDT) gracefully took their final bow on Saturday 16th March 2013, to which the audience had one response – ENCORE! And the date has already been set for SUNDAY APRIL 14!

LIVE! LOVE! DANCE! was certainly a recital that will remain at the hearts of its viewers for years to come. The dancers set the stage ablaze with an evening of truly stunning performances leaving the audience enraptured by a world of visually stimulating and inspiring choreography delivered by passionate and talented dancers adorned in exquisite costumes.

Host Kayla Farrell (former CDT dancer) and the senior students of The Fireflies Dance School made transitioning between pieces seem flawless with their endearing execution of the show’s heartfelt script. The evening’s guest performers included National Carnival Queen Zinga Imo, Queen Kibie, Miss Caribbean Talented Teen – Junika Berry, Junior Calypso King – De Conqueror Chri$, Range, CFBC Dance Ensemble, The Fireflies Dance School, Creative Sole Dance Company, The Tech Duo, The Trio as well as Alphonso Henry who was a guest choreographer. They all proved to be pleasant inclusions as they contributed to the recital’s high standard of dynamic and creative entertainment. When the curtain was drawn for the final farewell it was evident that The Children’s Dance Theatre had not left a single heart untouched by their encouragement to LIVE!LOVE!DANCE!

CDT was founded in 1989. Its main aims are to further the art of dance amongst the youths and to provide them with performance opportunities and life lessons. There are three divisions Sparks, Starlights and Rockets, receiving dance lessons in jazz, musical theatre, gymnastics, afro-caribbean, swing, modern, folk, ballet / lyrical, etc from tutors Tama Martin, Nekirah Nicholls, Xia Claxton, Krystal Glasford, Shanda Labega, Heidi Slack and Shara Lee Mourillon, all of whom were also responsible along with Director Julie Martin for choreography, costuming and music selection of LIVE!LOVE!DANCE!
