Liverpool defeat Man City 3-2

Kingston, Jamaica — Liverpool defeated Manchester City 3-2 at Anfield Sunday taking a huge step closer to the 2014 English Premier title.

Liverpool took command of the game in the first half with goals from Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel to lead 2-0 at the break.

With Yaya Toure out early due to injury, City clawed their way back through a David Silva goal early in the second half then with a defection off Liverpool defender Glen Johnson to level the score.

The decider came 12 minutes from time when City captain Vincent Kompany sliced a clearance straight to Philippe Coutinho who slotted home.
