Local Artist Shot

(ZIZ News) — A popular local entertainer is currently nursing a gunshot injury after he was attacked early Saturday morning.

According to a police report, Javon Crosse, who goes by the stage name “Ashkanaz”, was transported to the hospital after being shot during an incident which occurred at West Farm Mountain.

Initial investigation revealed that Ashkanaz was allegedly attacked by an unknown assailant. The victim went to a friend’s house before he was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The police are asking anyone with information pertaining to this shooting incident to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 467-1886, the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS).
