Local Football League to commence In August

Sports Page—Friday 12th July 2013–President of the Nevis Football Association, Mr. George BRIGO Meade on Thursday revealed the good news that Football action at the national level is set to return in August.

According to Meade, the local Football league will commence on August18th with an opening ceremony starting at 4pm.

He further indicated that the league is set to conclude sometime in March the following year, 2014.

He is urging all interested teams and clubs to seek to register for the tournament as his Association seeks to bring back the crowds of Football lovers into the ET Willet Park.

Some of the teams have remained active however, after the Football debacle which has gone on for well over a year.

Hardtimes, Stoney Grove and CCC Bath United are all currently involved in the ongoing Basil Challenger cup which is into its semifinals stage and creating quite some excitement at the Bath Village Playing field.
