Man Killed in Sandy Point, another Wounded

(ZIZ News) — Four persons are in custody following the shooting death of “Judgement” Francis which has left Brian Wilkinson wounded.

Early Wednesday morning, the Public Relations Arm of the Police Force confirmed that its Violent Crime Unit is investigating a shooting incident which occurred on 3rd February 2015 about 8:15pm at Sandy Point.

Initial investigation revealed that “Judgement” Francis who is 26 years and originally of Parsons Village but residing at Sandy Point and Brian Wilkinson, 21 years of Cleverly Hill, were attacked by armed masked assailants while walking along an alley east of the Wesleyan Holiness Church. Francis succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Commissioner of Police Dr. C.G. Walwyn has extended condolences and words of comfort to the bereaved family and friends of the deceased. Also, he extends words comfort to family and friends of Brian Wilkinson.

The force is asking anyone with information pertaining to the shooting incident to call the violent crime unit at 467-1886, 467-1887, 662-9336, the nearest police station, or, crime stoppers at 1-800-8477(tips).
