March held in celebration of 2019 Catholic Jamboree

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 19, 2019 (ZIZ News): Hundreds of children marched through the streets of Basseterre on Friday morning in celebration of the 2019 Catholic Youth Jamboree.

The Catholic Youth Jamboree is a bi-annual event that is held to help young people get in touch with their faith. It also aims to help the youth form bonds with their spiritual brothers and sisters in the diocese and is being held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic School.

The Jamboree is made up of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint John’s–Basseterre which includes countries such as Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands (Tortola and Virgin Gorda), Montserrat and St. Kitts and Nevis.

This year’s Catholic Youth Jamboree is being held under the theme, “Young People Building a Civilization of Love”.

The activities continue with a Jamboree Rising Stars Talent show on Saturday July 20 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic School from 7 pm.
