Meet English Club in St. Kitts

The Meet English Club of Guadeloupe is in St. Kitts to offer an alternative to academic learning of English to its members by using an immersive method that emphasizes the practice of English.

The group, made up of 13 to 17 year old students, is led by Aurélie Laaland who is the CEO and founder of Meet English.

She spoke with ZIZ about the importance of travel to help the group’s members learn the English language.

While in St. Kitts the Meet English Club will be learning about the corporate culture by visiting businesses across St. Kitts, which Ms. Laaland said is different in the English and French Caribbean.

Over the next two days the group will be visiting TDC Group of Companies.

Senior Human Resource Officer Gloria Esdaille- Robinson said they will be given an introduction to the world of work, similar to what is done with the company’s scholarship recipients.

The Meet English club is guided by the theme “Innovate to Renovate the Practice of English.”

The Meet English delegation is made up of 13 children and 4 supervisors. The trip spans from August 1st to 17th.
