Members of ZIZ Television off to Japan on an exchange visit

ZIZ News…Oct 23, 2012 — A four man team from ZIZ Television is on their way to Japan as part of an exchange visit with Japanese TV Station Osaka.

The team is made up of Theo Clarke TV Manager, Jason Davis News Editor, Rolyensha Henry News Reporter and Anthony Norford Senior Technical Editor.

While in Japan the team will be filming some of the historical sites, a number shrines and capturing the culture and life style of the Japanese people. They will also seek to form alliances with TV stations there in order to see how we can further develop the partnership in the future and source training opportunities.

They will also be sending back short News reports while on their one week visit and on return produce a full length documentary called “Spotlight on Osaka” that will showcase cultural performances, preparation of Japanese local dish, historical background of the shrines and a visit to a football game which is one of their favourite sports.

The leader of the team Theo Clarke will also present a number of memorabilia to our host and other officials involved in organizing the exchange visit.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation Mr. RA Peter Jenkins and Viere Galloway General Manager of ZIZ Radio and Television were on hand at the RLB International Airport to wish the team well. Other family members of the team were also at the airport.

In commenting on the exchange visit Mr. Galloway stated that it will not only benefit ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation but the members of the team will be ambassadors for St. Kitts and Nevis as we seek to promote the Federation on a whole to the Japanese people. TV Osaka will also benefit from the promotion by getting the word out that their country welcomes tourists and other visitors from around the world.
