[ZIZ]–In recognising the importance of diabetes, hypertension and obesity in the community, the Methodist Church is holding a Health Fair on Saturday.
Superintendant Minister of the Church, Rev. Joyce Rohan explained why they are hosting such an event.
“Health is very important to everyone and as a church we should get involved, not only in preaching to persons about their spiritual health, their spiritual welfare but also to be interested in other areas of life.”
Ms. Rohan also spoke about the services they will be providing.
“Blood sugar, blood glucose will be tested pressures taken, talks given on these various illnesses that people suffer that seems to be taking over.”
Ms. Rohan said they will also be giving talks and advice on nutrition.
The Health Fair will be held at the Old Boys’ School on the Methodist Church grounds from 9 to 12 noon.
