Minister Nigel Carty attends first public event since his return

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 13TH 2011 (CUOPM) – Hours after returning home on Saturday afternoon, Minister of Education and Information, Sen. the Hon. Nigel Carty attended his first public event.

Minister Carty was among Governor General, His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Cabinet ministers, the judiciary, Members of the National Assembly, senior government officials, the Diplomatic Corps, the Clergy, war veterans and members of the general public who attended the Remembrance Day Service at the War Memorial on Sunday morning at 8 o clock.

After the Service, Minister Carty was greeted and welcomed back home by several persons who attended the early morning event.

Prime Minister Douglas said last week he expected Sen. Carty to attend the next meeting of the Cabinet.

Minister Carty took ill mid-September and had to travel for medical attention in Miami after hospitalisation here.
