Minister of Education Says a Review of the School Meals Feeding Programme Continues

Minister of Education, the Hon. Shawn Richards says, his Ministry continues with efforts to enhance the nutritional content in the school meals feeding programme.

During his back to school address, the Minister said it forms part of his Ministry’s mandate to eliminate dietary deficiencies that may impact students’ learning.

Minister Richards said a rotation of the menu and a collaborative effort with the school farm will help with the process.

He said this decision was deemed very necessary as part of the Ministry’s response to eliminate obesity and non-communicable diseases among our people.
