Minister Richards Call for More Partnerships

(ZIZ News) – Minister of Education, the Hon. Shawn Richards, has called on all sectors of society to get on board in support of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC).

Speaking during the college’s Open Day and Career Fair on Thursday, the minister promised government’s continued support of the college and urged other partners to do the same.

He said, “It is a pleasure for me to pledge the government’s commitment to the capacity building of our students and I invite all members of civil society to partner with CFBC and the Ministry of Education in providing the necessary financial assistance that our students will need as they move on.”

Minister Richards commended the college on getting the business community involved in the Open Day to inspire the students towards possible career paths.

“Students need to be exposed to possible careers that they may be interested in. I know that some students go through college and still cannot make up their minds about a career, but with all of the partners here today the students will have a lot of ideas from which to choose,” the Minister stated.

He said as the federation moves forward it is critical that students are able to pursue careers in new and emerging fields. This, he noted, will take the support of all partners involved.
